"Introduction to Yoga"

This beginner-level class series incorporates the fundamentals of vinyasa yoga, a flow focusing on breath and movement together. We will begin with studying the potential of efficient breathing, move into the subtleties of Somatics-based movement awareness, sun salutations, and add in more challenging poses/asanas as the semester progresses.
Some benefits include: Decreased stress & improved mood, greater strength & flexibility, increased stability & balance, and an overall sense of self awareness & well being.

Drop-In Rate: $15 per class, as class space allows.

*Registration capacity is 15 students per class. Registrations accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Classes are currently BYOM (Bring-your-own-mat.)

Other recommendations: Yoga blocks, a blanket, water, and attire that allows for free flowing movement, in layers. (We can't always control the room temperature in the schools, so it's best to be prepared for both warmer or cooler conditions.)
If you don't have a mat and would like to arrange for one to be provided, please contact Regina.

These classes are designed for individuals ages 16 and up. Ages 12-15 are permitted to attend if accompanied by an adult who has also registered.
